Softer Side Seminars is turning twenty!

Project: 3/23/23 – Softer Side Seminars turns 20…how are YOU aging?

We are hearing the voices of women 65+ via an anthology entitled “SEASONS: 10 WOMEN’S NARRATIVES ON EMBRACING CHANGE, AGING, & MAINTAINING RELEVANCY.” 

Their narratives are compelling depictions of their journey – of finding their purpose and achieving greatness.   They show that as senior women, we still Shine,

We make a difference, and Contribute to a “not so friendly” Society,  by way of our homes, and communities.

Panel discussion between 5 seasoned women & 5 younger women

Facilitated by honorary co-chair Tammy Thompson
The discussion will raise the questions about what it
Means to be a senior woman in this society,

What it means for younger women making their way
And establishing grounding for themselves.

Words from our Founder

The message of SSS is still relevant and there’s still an audience for it.
While the vision is a baby, but I am 20 years older, acknowledging the influence
aging has on how we live our now and our future is notable and worth highlighting.

Sometimes as women of all ages, we are late to enter a softer, more loving relationship with ourselves – even knowing our selves.

Why is that?

I would raise the following thoughts for their use:

Values:

  • Be Patient with yourself
  • Stay Open —  its the way learning happens
  • Develop your instincts and then Trust Them
  • Be intentional about EVERYTHING –especially defining your purpose
  • Don’t be influenced by what others Think
  • Do the best YOU CAN
  • and then GIVE YOURSELF THE GRACE you give Others
